Christy was an LVN who put herself through school to become an RN. She worked in Med Surg, Nursery, and ultimately NICU, which became her true passion, working at West Hills Hospital, Medical Center, and Tarzana Hospital. Christy had heard about this honor guard and wanted to be part of this organization but became too sick to reach out. She battled Stage IV breast cancer for over 10 years while working, most of this time until about 4 years ago, and lost the battle on 1/26/2025.
